To participate, you must hold a Masters degree. The number of participants per training group is a maximum of 16 people. The mediation training is aimed at all people who want to follow a Mediation course in English. Fields of interest may include:

• Corporate lawyer, notary, lawyer, and legal assistant in the broadest sense;
• Manager, department head, HR officer, HRM Business Lead;
• People working in Banking, Insurance, Health Care, and all other sectors where conflict is a prominent factor;
• Entrepeneurs, start-up and scale-up owners, managers and advisors;
• Officer, whether in government service or in administrative functions, who will be part of bodies that hear complainants or those with grievances before the formal legal process takes place.
• Psychologists and professional caregiver; Communication professionals;
• Those who wish to incorporate mediation skills into their current or future roles.

The course itself consists of 6 class days spread over 2 weeks. On Wednesdays and during the weekend, you will work independently on intervision and learning assignments, both individual and in groups. During these training days, the course will follow the progression of a mediation according to the CvC Mediation Circle. All themes and skills relevant to each phase of the Mediation Circle will be addressed and intensively practiced.

Participants will receive a syllabus (included in the price) and a reading list with mandatory and recommended literature (not included in the price, totaling approximately €275). In addition, participants will gain access to our e-learning environment. The course alternates between practice-oriented theory and skills training. Material from the participants’ work situations will also be used. Video footage of national and international mediators will be analyzed.

• And more: discussing homework assignments and literature

Day III

• Continuation of the exploration phase
• Dealing with emotions and countertransference
• Rescue triangle and OVK model
• Caucus
• Dealing with difficult situations

Day IV

• The Negotiation phase
• Negotiating using the Harvard method
• Communication and mediation skills
• And more: discussing homework assignments and preparation for the final assignment
